Well I think it’s safe to say we’re taking FULL advantage of this crazy time in the world by soaking up sunshine on the weekends and consistently filling our cup with adventure. Utah feels more and more like home every day and continues to make my heart smile with its beauty. Luckily we’ve found some pretty awesome adventure buddies that are always up for something new and have really shown us some hidden gems that are within 120 miles. While I’m completely down to “rough it” in the field during hunting season, I’ll never be mad about having a few finer things in camp. I’ll go ahead and say it: I enjoy glamping too.
For the past few weekends, we’ve taken advantage of these closer camping spots and hauled everything but the kitchen sink! Not really, but these 7 items below added an undeniable charm and energy!
White Duck Outdoors Wall Tent: I’m a huge fan of wall tents of any kind, they just have a certain vibe about them that’s comforting, but I’d say this is potentially the Cadillac of wall tents! Every detail was well thought out and executed. It’s also a 16’ x 20’, making it one of the biggest I’ve been in.
Camp Chef Alpine Heavy Duty Stove: this thing keeps the entire wall tent extremely cozy, dried out our wet boots, thawed out our wild game rather quickly, and cooked a handful of yummy meals. Highly recommended if you don’t mind the weight! It’s a beast!
Traeger Ranger Grill: my little slice of home wherever I go! Nothing beats throwing fresh backstraps on the grill during hunting season, but having this bad boy in our summer camp is wonderful too because it doubles as an oven. Rather than relying solely on Peak Refuel meals for convenience, we were able to make a huge breakfast that included little egg cupcakes, bacon, and hashbrowns.
Canvas Cutter Bedrolls: I cannot say enough good things about our bedrolls. We’ve put them through a lot since we moved to Utah. I love being able to roll out my bed and climb in, paired with some of the best sleep I’ve ever had. It’s a wonderful addition to any camp! We have the Fortress bundles that include the memory foam and it’s a game-changer for quality sleep!
Cots: I’m not familiar with cots, so I’m intentionally not linking this item. The ones we found were on sale at Costco for $35 each. I couldn’t tell you how they match up against other cots in price, weight, ease of setup, etc, but i can tell you that it’s nice to be off the ground for a change!
Diamondback HD Cover: This is another item we’ve had for quite some time and use religiously. This allows us to haul our quad on top, keep our gear dry and free of dust underneath, and eliminates the need for a trailer on 95% of our trips! To top it off, there are 2 locks to keep our gear safe.
Honda 2200 Generator: Or any generator for that matter, but this is our first choice! Having a generator allows us to run our Traeger without plugging it into our truck and burning fuel. We can charge all of our gear (GPS, phones, watches, camera equipment, etc), and most importantly (but not actual important at all), we can hang Edison Bulb lights around camp to magnify all the good vibes!
