Gifts Under $125 for Your Favorite Outdoorsman | Father's Day Gift Guide

To all of you that have outdoor dads in your life, that seem to struggle every year with what to get your favorite men, and who don’t have the budget to go buy a new bow or gun for someone, this blog is for YOU! I’ve never been much of a gift giver (my gift is my time because I’m always running and gunning), but after spending so much time outdoors I feel like I’ve got a grip on affordable gifts for your favorite outdoorsman!

Darn Tough Socks: I don’t want to think about the smell of my husband’s feet before we found Darn Tough! Yes, there are many brands that won’t make your feet smell bad, but he is SO picky about socks. I can’t remember who told me about these a couple years ago, but they’re the perfect weight, cushion, softness, snug-ness (you know what I mean), and have been very durable through our adventures. We’ve both fallen in love with them! My only complaint was that they weren’t quite tall enough for our hunting boots, then they came out with a hunting line that comes up higher. Problem solved!

Huntin’ Fool Scope Coat: every man could use a scope cover, but not every man buys them! These come in Large and X-Large to fit almost any setup.

Havalon Knife: I haven’t been able to get away from these knives since I began using them 4-5 years ago. They’re just a dang good knife, whether you’re cleaning an animal or preparing a euro mount to boil (see my DIY euro mount blog here). If your dad already has 1 or 5 of these, another great gift to compliment them is a bulk pack of blades! My parents did this for Braxton one year at Christmas and it has lasted us so long!

ATV Hand Warmers: this one is a bit unique because it only applies to the dads out there that have toys, but we love these hand warmers on our quad! Caution: they get HOT! I cannot imagine ever truly needing them on the warmest setting, but just know that they do work and they make a huge difference in the field!

KUVRD Universal Lens Cap: another unique gift, but outdoor photography and filming continues to evolve. If your dad enjoys documenting his outdoor adventures (or maybe he’s a full time photographer), this is a great alternative to traditional lens covers because it helps protect from dust, water, mud, and other elements that every avid outdoorsman puts their gear through!

Elite Blackout Headlamp: while it does weigh more than other headlamps on the market, it’s the best one we’ve found. It’s dependable and so bright, with a great battery life. Braxton was given one as a gift from a buddy and we’ve packed out several animals with it! It honestly makes other headlamps look useless, especially when tracking blood!

FROM $50-$100

Men’s UA Adapt Pant OR Enduro Pant: These are both found within the Under Armour “Military and Tactical” line, but my husband wears them every single day whether he’s in the field or at work. I actually hunt in the women’s UA tactical gear as well so I understand his obsession with them!

Vexil Insulated Vest: this is a really good quality vest for an affordable price! When I worked at a Western-wear store throughout college, vests like this were easily over $100, so it’s nice to have another option! This can be used working cattle or over a nice button down shirt for a nicer occasion - it’s a great in-between piece!

Huntin’ Fool All Access Membership: I debated including this item, out of fear that people would think I was just trying to plug the company I work for, but I already hold back enough when it comes to talking about Huntin’ Fool. I adore this company, I believe in this company, and I want to shout to the world all the things it has to offer. Also, I don’t get any kickbacks for signing people up. I can tell you that there are a LOT of $100/year memberships out there for outdoor related things, and nothing will come close to this one. The amount of knowledge packed into our 130+ page MONTHLY magazine is unreal, paired with the fact that you have full time hunt advisors at your fingertips to talk to whenever you want, is enough reason to include this in my outdoor gift guide, but there’s a lot more that comes with it. It’s shocking what $100 will get a member, and while I’d love to open that can of worms and spill my heart out about the benefits of becoming a member, I’ll just let you look into it for yourself! However, feel free to reach out with any questions!

UP TO $125

FHF Gear Harness: we’ve tried many bino harnesses out there, and this one continues to be our go-to. It’s very customizable for any hunter and your dad won’t ever need to buy another one! It’s a high-quality product and one I’ve been recommending for a couple seasons now after MANY days in the field with it!

Hunterra Maps: quite possibly the coolest gift for a farmer, rancher, hunter, or any other outdoorsman. These maps can get pricey depending on the type/size that you choose, but it falls into that “very unique, customizable, thoughtful gift” category. I can’t help but think of my own dad with this gift, because he saved up his whole life to buy his dream property in Texas and he works sun up to sun down some days whether it’s planting crops, working cattle, setting tree stands, building ponds, clearing cedar trees, etc. He loves his land, and many dads out there would appreciate a map of their little slice of heaven, or one to keep in their pack on their next big hunt!
