Wearing my halo, prior to having my hair stylist blend the ends!

Regardless of my love for the outdoors, I am a WOMAN and deep down every woman has a desire to feel beautiful! A few months back my bonus mom, who happens to be more "in-the-know” than myself on all beauty products, mentioned Halo hair extensions. I’ve stayed away from extensions because of how much time I spend outdoors, and clips-ins were itchy or uneven. I’ve even tried glue-in extensions way back in my college days! However, I think I’ve found the perfect solution for my outdoor girls that want something easy to remove that doesn’t damage your hair and is the furthest thing from high maintenance: Halo Couture Hair Extensions.

My stepmom found herself “influenced” by Jess Hallock, who’s a hair stylist based out of Arizona. with an awesome following due to her stellar content. She will match your hair color THROUGH A PHONE! You can send her photos and video of your hair in natural lighting, with details on what you want to accomplish, and let’s just say she killed it with mine. I admit that I pushed back when she recommended the halo that I got because it didn’t seem blonde enough and initially I didn’t want the length that she recommended to me. I was leaning toward the 18” halo. Wow, I’m so glad she didn’t let me budge on the 22” halo because she couldn’t have matched it any better.

I went with a 22” layered highlight/lowlight blend. See how easy it is for me to put my halo on in this video.

BEFORE PICS

These are the photos that I sent Jess Hallock through text. She then sent me photos/video of two options that she thought would work great. Turns out she knows what she’s doing!

my halo arrived!

Pros

  • Easily removable and doesn’t take long to put it on! Jess has multiple videos on her channel putting halos on her clients. Again, here is a video of putting mine on!

  • Doesn’t damage your hair. You’re not gluing, clamping, clipping, etc to your natural hair so it’s a much healthier option!

  • It’s a temporary option, as opposed to having extensions that stay in 24/7 and having to baby them

  • It’d be really hard to tell that this was fake due to the design of the band and the way it sits on your head. I can almost always tell when girls have other types of extensions because the clip or the bead will show.

  • Due to being able to take it off and on, it should last longer than other options since you’re not sleeping or showering with it on.

cons

  • With the longer/thicker option that I got, I can only wear it for about 8 hours before I get a headache and the clear line puts a slight indention on the top of my head. There’s really not a time that I’d wear this longer than 8 hours so it’s fine, but some girls might do that so just a heads up! The shorter lengths shouldn’t be a problem. I literally have the longest one, ha!

  • Some will also complain about the price (I paid around $650 for a 22” layered highlight/lowlight blend), but the convenience of being able to take the hair off and put it back on so easily makes it the only way to go for an avid outdoorsman like myself! As little as I wear it, mine will last me a long time, so the price is worth it!
